Jennifer Catnip Beautiful Victorian Soft Cloth Dolls.
“Jennifer” and “Catnip”were inspired by those beautiful antique dolls popular at the turn-of-the-century. Lovingly reproduced, they recapture the past and steal hearts anew.
This is Jennifer…she lives in the city in a big Victorian house with lots of rooms and a wonderful garden. Jennifer has a governess who teaches her to read, write, embroider and have beautiful manners.
Today, Jennifer is going to a birthday celebration. Her party frock is of hand-embroidered organdy with lovely lace and satin ribbon trim. Her hair has been especially done with a curling iron for the occasion.
Jennifer has a kitten called Catnip…he wears a silk bow around his neck, drinks his milk from a china bowl and also has beautiful manners.
These soft dolls are one of a kind dolls made from an out of print fabric panel, and although the fabric is out of print, the fabric is as new.
Jennifer is a 17 inch pillow doll and has pink and white ribbon and bow accents on the front and back of her dress and pink flowers in her hair. Catnip is her 6 inch cat that has a pink ribbon and brass accent collar.
These pillow dolls are so practical because when the little one gets tired and sleepy, the doll can be used as a pillow and because the dolls are not likely to cause any harm when played with or taken to bed. The fabric and stuffing is non-toxic, made in the USA.
I am not a professional seamstress, so if you are expecting perfection please do not purchase. These dolls are made to express my love for babies and children.
